Thanksgiving from a foreigners perspective

 

 

I´m grateful that I get to spend my Thanksgiving
with the part of my family that I have here.

So tomorrow it´s Thanksgiving. Since it´s a relatively new celebration for me I don´t have any emotional attachments to the day and no family tradition to follow. However I think it´s a wonderful day and an opportunity to remember all the things we have to be grateful for. To spend the day with family members we don´t see every day is indeed something to be very grateful for. It makes me very happy to see that many people pay extra attention to the homeless and other people in need. Several of my friends are helping out at different shelters for homeless people tomorrow, making sure they get a good Thanksgiving dinner. That makes me happy.
