Yesterday I went to a local market in Napa for the first time, Oxbow public market http://www.oxbowpublicmarket.com. It´s only a few minutes from where we live. It was like no other indoor markets I ever seen (I´ve seen many all over the world). The quality of the local food and other products I found there were extremely high. They had food, fruit, vegetables, wine, cheese, crafts and all kinds of gifts. The facility was clean, fresh and welcoming. I came during lunch hour and they were busy, the whole building was cracking of all the activity going on. I had to stand in line for about 15 min to get my food, a delicious grilled salmon taco, but it was definitely worth waiting for. All the sales people I talked to were very service minded and friendly. It seems to be a good place to meet new people at. When I mingled around to check out the place several people that didn´t work at the market started interesting conversations about organic food with me. I´m definitely going back. I love discovering new favorite places when I move to a new town and I believe this is going to be one of them.
